Dynastar Cham 87 2.0 (EX-DEMO)
Featuring Dynastar’s new, next-generation blend of rocker, sidecut, and construction, each element of the Dynastar CHAM 87 2.0 has been rethought, re-designed, and re-shaped to deliver maximum versatility, ease-of-use, and the hard-charging freeride performance that’s synonymous with CHAM.
The Dynastar Cham 87 2.0 is back this season but under a new name and with characteristics that stay the same compared to the previous version. You will, once again, get a sober and efficient ski, all of our testers seemed to agree on that. The Cham 87 2.0 is a multi-tasker that can handle powder and hard snow and deliver consistent performance on both. Throw it on powder and you’ll see how the rocker works. It keeps you floating on the fluff while the 87mm waist delivers a great underfoot support when it’s time for slashing a turn. It feels incredibly playful and linking long arcs on the untouched is easy as pie. Moreover, the fact that the sidecuts are not oversized makes the ski very agile and allows runs through the trees if you like. It turns quick and it steers precisely. On crud, bumps or chopped up snow, the rocker does a great job at absorbing vibrations and dampening shocks and impacts. It feels like you’re gliding on silk with an impressive stability. Finally, if you like finishing your days with a few sessions on groomers, you will appreciate how grippy and responsive the ski is. It rolls into turns and carves effortlessly and delivers quick edge to edge transitions. It is a bit as if Dynastar had reinvented skiing.
